You send a short message or call. You do not need to have everything figured out, and you do not need to share painful details in writing. A sentence about what is going on is enough for us to know how to help.
We talk
We arrange a consultation, by phone or in the office. This is a calm, private conversation. You tell us what is happening, we ask a few questions, and we give you an honest read on your situation. There is no pressure to hire us, and no decision is asked of you on the call.
We lay out your options
We explain the paths in front of you and what each one is likely to involve, in time, cost, and outcome. Where a calmer route such as an agreement is realistic, we point it out. Where it is not, we tell you that too. You leave understanding your choices.
You decide, at your pace
If you choose to work with us, we agree in writing on what we will do and how fees work, so there are no surprises. If you would rather take time to think, that is completely fine. The decision is yours, and there is no rush from our side.
We carry the matter forward
